Dear Beautiful Soul,

Gratitude changes the way we see the world. It takes our eyes off what’s missing and opens them to the blessings already in front of us. When we live with a thankful heart, even the smallest moments — the warmth of sunlight, the sound of a friend’s laughter, the smell of coffee brewing — become reminders of God’s goodness.

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Gratitude is not pretending everything is perfect. It’s choosing to see God’s fingerprints in the middle of the mess. It’s remembering that even in seasons of struggle, His mercies are new every morning.

Here are three ways to make gratitude part of your daily rhythm:

1. Start and End Your Day with Thanks

Before your feet touch the floor in the morning, thank God for one new gift. Before bed, reflect on the day and name at least three blessings.

2. Keep a Gratitude Journal

Write down moments, big or small, that brought you joy or reminded you of God’s faithfulness. On difficult days, read back through your entries to refresh your perspective.

3. Speak Gratitude Out Loud

Share your thanks with others — to God in prayer and to people in encouragement. Gratitude expressed blesses both the giver and the receiver.

Blessing for You: May your heart stay open to the wonder of God’s goodness. May gratitude guide your thoughts and actions. And may you find joy in both the simple and the sacred.

With love and light, Kristine Hawkins
